Our first few days.

We arrived in Tours on Thursday, via Paris. We went on the Metro in Paris.

In Tours there’s a Ferris wheel, which goes nearly as high as a crane! We also went on a carousel.

There are 2 Cathedrals, lots of green spaces and a river.

We got up at 5.30 to get the early train to La Rochelle.

We arrived in Fouras at lunchtime, bought floats and went to the beach.

The rest of France is having a heatwave, here it’s only about 29 degrees!

We walked round an abandoned fort.

This is the beach at Fouras where we all swam after breakfast this morning. The sea was cold but the sun was warm and the breeze fresh.

The kids went in the sea really far out, and were having the time of their lives according to Nick ( a kid ).
